About Us
Wallace Park Tennis Club (WPTC) is an active, non-profit, outdoor community tennis club operating in affiliation with the Town of Oakville.
WPTC recognizes the benefit of tennis to our community; we promote an active and healthy lifestyle for all ages and encourage the growth of the sport of tennis through instruction, organized play, social events, and free play.
WPTC consists of four (4) private courts and one (1) public court and a clubhouse with washroom facilities. The public court is open to members and non-members on an equal basis.
Daily operations at WPTC are overseen by our club manager, court attendants, and our club professional and their staff. Club governance is overseen by the Board of Directors, which consists of eleven (11) voting members, of whom ten (10) are volunteers elected by the membership and one (1) is a Past President.
WPTC also promotes the development of both junior and adult tennis through the services of the club professionals, who are independent contractors.

- WPTC will offer membership renewal to the previous year’s members prior to accepting new members. In the case of new memberships, applications from Oakville residents will be given priority over applications from non-residents.
- Returning members shall be given a deadline to register for the following year. If maximum membership has not been reached and the deadline has passed, registration opens for new memberships.
- Spots will not be “held” or reserved under any circumstances for potential members or team players who have not yet joined.
- Applications for membership will be accepted until we reach our maximum membership numbers. At such a time, a waiting list will be established.
- Maximum membership numbers will be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors. Our interest is in accommodating as many members as possible.
- The waitlist will be managed on a one in, one out basis. Priority will be given to residents of the Town of Oakville over non-residents.
- Participants of all instructional programs, lessons and clinics are required to be members in good standing at WPTC, with the exception of juniors participating in the Summer Tennis Camps.
- Memberships are not transferable. Membership fees will only be refunded at the discretion of the Board of Directors. In order to encourage youth participation in tennis, junior membership will not be capped.
